A Day Trip to Limutai Natural Scenic Area: An Elegant Adventure

Traffic: Majority of visitors arrive by self-drive. Our journey from Beijing, departing at around 7 am, took three hours, whereas the usual duration is approximately two hours. The main delay was encountered upon entering the parking lot, which was slightly congested.

Ticketing: The cost breakdown is as follows – Scenic Area + Shuttle Bus + Sightseeing Bus = 95 yuan, Scenic Area + Shuttle Bus = 70 yuan, and for students and the elderly, it’s 45 yuan. The Sightseeing Bus costs 20 yuan per person for a one-way trip. I highly recommend opting for the 95 yuan package as the Shuttle Bus is a must, otherwise, it takes quite a while to walk to the scenic spots. Initially, I skipped the Sightseeing Bus, which led to exhaustion and sun exposure, preventing me from reaching the Big Pear Tree. However, on the return journey, I took the Sightseeing Bus up and it only took two minutes to come down. The air and environment are excellent, and the crowd is relatively sparse compared to other scenic spots. Although the scenery is predominantly composed of trees, it’s still a decent choice for hiking. There are food vendors, toilets, accommodations, and even picnicking families, making it a worthwhile destination for relaxation.
