Visiting Beijing Universal Studios demands a certain level of financial prowess, as one must be prepared to invest in order to enjoy the full range of attractions as a premium player. The Express Pass, which grants priority access to rides, is indeed appealing, offering a ten-minute turnaround time for each attraction. However, the cost of 200 yuan per pass can be a significant investment, especially considering that the all-inclusive Express Pass for weekends often sells out early.
Today, I had the opportunity to experience the Harry Potter Forbidden Journey and Jurassic World attractions, but the long queues for each were exasperating. I ultimately decided to purchase the remaining Express Passes for the remaining attractions, realizing that without them, holidays would be spent endlessly waiting in line. It is simply impossible to enjoy more than three or four attractions in a single day during peak seasons, as popular rides can have wait times starting at two hours or more. The constant circling around queues, only to find oneself back at the start after completing one loop, can be quite disheartening.
Overall, my experience at Beijing Universal Studios was adequate, but certainly not without its challenges. The dining, entertainment, and overall service did not quite match up to that of Disney. For those planning to visit during busy periods like the May Day or National Day holidays, I highly recommend purchasing the all-inclusive Express Pass to maximize your enjoyment and minimize the stress of endless queuing. After all, a trip to Universal Studios should be a magical experience, not a test of patience and endurance.
