A Delightful Guide to Tianjin: A Two-Day Itinerary

📍 Day 1: Tianjin Railway Station → Northwest Corner → Drum Tower → Tianjin Eye → Ancient Cultural Street → Jinwan Plaza → Liberation Bridge → Porcelain House → Zhang Xueliang’s Former Residence → Eileen Chang’s Former Residence → Italian Style Street → Deyunshe → Hotel

Tips:

• The Northwest Corner can be crowded. The pancake there is not particularly delicious; the one from Ershaozi in the Ancient Cultural Street is more recommended. Breakfast items can be a bit salty, so bring a bottle of mineral water 🍶 or buy some plum juice.
• Taking photos of the Tianjin Eye from across the bridge can yield excellent results. When visiting in winter, the sun may not be very strong, but visiting early in the morning during warmer seasons can produce stunning photos. 🤩
• Both the Porcelain House and the former residences charge entrance fees. If you’re not particularly interested, it may not be worth the cost.
• When we visited the Italian Style Street in winter, there were ice and snow activities, including skating, which was incredibly enjoyable, especially when played with children. 😆😆😆
• A visit to Deyunshe for comic dialogue is highly recommended. The ticket prices are reasonable, and after a full day of exploring, it’s a great way to relax and unwind by listening to comic performances. 🎭

📍 Day 2: Hotel → Five Avenues → Minyuan Square → Xiannong Dayuan → Xiaobailou → Xikai Church → Restaurant 🏨🍴 → Tianjin Railway Station

Tips:

• The Five Avenues are vast and filled with stunning architectural gems. It’s recommended to rent a shared bike to explore the area.
• When visiting Xikai Church ⛪️, please be mindful of your behavior and refrain from eating or making loud noises.
• The small restaurant we visited was highly recommended and delicious. We waited for 2 hours, so it’s advisable to arrive early to avoid the crowd.
• Riding a shared bike 🚲 is a convenient way to get around Tianjin. Choose a hotel that’s close to the attractions, as most of them are clustered together, with only a few exceptions.
