Regretfully realizing the captivating beauty of Yantai’s islands! Jelly Bay, Orange Sea, Colorful Pebble Beach, and countless fishing boats have fulfilled all my imaginations of an idyllic island getaway. 😍 Temporarily bidding farewell to the hustle and bustle of city life, escape the crowds and embark on a journey with friends to become island dwellers for a few days. 🏝️ This time, I spent four enchanting days exploring five charming islands, and I’ve compiled a comprehensive travel guide for each, which I hope will serve as a valuable reference for you. 📝 For a detailed itinerary, please refer to my previous post.
️⃣ Long Island’s Jiuzhang Cliff: As the sun sets, the cliffs and seawater are dyed in an orange hue, creating a romantic spectacle not just of the Orange Sea but also of the orange-tinged walking path (Figure 3).
️⃣ Tuoji Island, known as the “Little Maldives” of Yantai, boasts a stunning jelly-like sea. The classic photo spot is at the end of the walking path, a must-visit for capturing memorable moments (Figures 1/2).
️⃣ Xiaoqin Island: Here, you’ll find a sea access track reminiscent of a scene from a Miyazaki film, a colorful pebble beach, numerous fishing boats, and the Goddess of the Sea Temple. Rent a sightseeing car to explore the island, and don’t forget to try the delicious mackerel dumplings (Figures 12/13).
️⃣ Nanhuangcheng Island: Marvel at the wonders of nature at Shimen, admire the sea erosion trail that gives Yantai a “Little Indonesia” charm (Figure 8), and wait for the sunset over the Orange Sea at Fotuo Mountain, which evokes a sense of the enchanting “La La Land” of Yantai (Figure 15).
