May Day Tianjin Travel Guide for Sisters: Delicious Food, Scenic Views, and Endless Joy

Dear sisters planning a trip to Tianjin during the May Day holiday! 🧸 I’ve diligently compiled a travel itinerary for you to enjoy the best of Tianjin, filled with delicious food, scenic views, and boundless happiness! 🌇

On April 25th, we arrived at Tianjin West Railway Station at 11:24 am, with temperatures ranging from 14-28 degrees Celsius. On April 26th, we departed from Tianjin West Railway Station at 1:47 pm, with temperatures hovering around 19-31 degrees. It’s important to note that Tianjin’s perceived temperature is often higher than the actual temperature, and the sun can be quite intense. Make sure to take proper sun protection measures! (PS: Even with sunscreen, my face still got tanned 🥹)

Day 1: Northwest Corner – Tianjin Eye – Ancient Cultural Street – Drum Tower – Xikai Catholic Church – Five Avenues – Minyuan Square – Five Avenues Landmark Clock – Porcelain House – Liberation Bridge – Century Clock – Night Cycling along the Haihe River

Day 2: Haihe River – Italian-style Style Street – Yifashun (Foodie’s Must-See)

  • Dingji Roll: Priced at 7 yuan each, it offers excellent value. If you love fermented bean curd, you’ll love it! For those who don’t, it’s a carbs-on-carbs experience. It’s quite large, so it’s recommended to share one with a friend.
  • Wang Qian Cake: Priced at 2.5 yuan each, it comes in two flavors. The sour and sweet double silk variety is particularly delicious and highly recommended.
  • Miancha: It’s average, but if you’re curious, it’s worth trying for its affordable price.
  • Dizha Gao: Priced at 2 yuan each, it’s a delicious treat with a crispy exterior and sweet interior. While it’s recommended, don’t overdo it as too much can be oily.
  • Qingzhen Maomao Sweetened Plum Juice: Highly recommended! It might taste slightly bitter at first, but it grows more delicious with each sip. You can see the ingredients at the bottom.

Scenic Spot Recommendation – Porcelain House: Be sure to visit at night! The illuminated porcelain house is much more stunning than during the daytime, with its grandeur and splendor.

Accommodation Recommendation: Staying near the Century Mall area is recommended for convenient access to the Haihe River’s night views.

Travel Tip: Since Tianjin’s attractions are relatively concentrated, cycling is a great option. Consider purchasing a seven-day unlimited ride pass for either the yellow or blue bikes for maximum convenience. Otherwise, you might have difficulty finding a bike when needed.

Happy traveling, sisters! Enjoy your time in Tianjin and make the most of its delicious food, scenic views, and joyful experiences! #CollegeStudentTravel #SpecialForcesTravel #Tianjin #FoodieDelights
