The official public account for Mount Wutai, in my opinion, is the best-executed among all scenic spots in Shanxi Province. It offers not only ticket bookings but also accommodation reservations. It is crucial to note that if you plan to visit Mount Wutai during holidays, it is imperative to book your accommodation in advance as the later you book, the higher the room rates tend to be. Fortunately, I booked mine quite early and managed to get a good deal!
The official public account for Pingyao Ancient City allows you to purchase not only entry tickets but also tickets for various performances. It is recommended that visitors do not opt to stay within the city walls as there is no central heating this year. The inns and guesthouses inside rely solely on electric heaters and air conditioning, which may not provide sufficient warmth.
