Nanjing, a city of immense charm, truly offers an enchanting experience. Zhongshan Mountain, in particular, is a stunning testament to history and grandeur. However, navigating its scenic paths, mostly consisting of short distances ranging from 1 to 3 kilometers, can present a challenge. Walking can be quite a haul, while taxis often seem unwarranted for such short distances. Electric bikes, therefore, emerge as the ideal mode of transportation.
I rented mine right outside the famous Duck Blood Soup restaurant. While the standard rate is typically quoted as 50 yuan per bike, haggling is key. With a bit of negotiation, you can easily bring the price down to around 40 yuan. For those interested in renting an electric bike in Nanjing, I highly recommend the Wu Ji Lao Duck Blood Soup shop located in the Zijin Cultural Plaza. It’s where I got mine (see Figure 2).
And a special note: When renting, make sure to seek out the slightly plump lady. She’s not only incredibly friendly but also extremely reliable. You can rent with confidence, knowing that you won’t encounter any unpleasant surprises. Refunds for deposits are also processed promptly. As a bonus tip, mentioning that you’ll be sharing your experience on social media platforms like Xiaohongshu might even earn you a slight discount!
Whether you’re visiting Nanjing for the first time or returning for more adventures, don’t forget to explore Zhongshan Mountain and make the most of your trip with an electric bike. #Nanjing #ZhongshanMountain #ExploringNanjing
