Visiting Jinhua’s Little Iceland: A Travel Guide

Nestled in the Wucheng District of Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, China, lies the enchanting locale known as Jinhua’s Little Iceland. Conveniently accessible via self-driving navigation, simply follow the directions and you’ll arrive at your destination upon stepping out of your vehicle. For those opting for a taxi ride, the journey from downtown takes approximately half an hour, albeit with the potential inconvenience of finding a return taxi.

Originally a vast mine, Little Iceland gained notoriety after being utilized for film shoots, leaving behind a wooden boat that has become a popular photographic prop. In the past, visitors were able to board the boat for pictures, but this is no longer permitted. On my recent visit, I arrived somewhat late and was only able to capture a few fleeting moments before the mist rolled in and darkness descended. On a clearer day, however, the hues of the lake are nothing short of breathtaking.
