Travelogue: A Three-Day Journey from Wuhan to Anqing

🔸Transportation: A four-hour drive from Wuhan marks the beginning of our journey.

🔸Accommodation: Our abode during this trip was the Orange Business Hotel in the new district, a spacious, modern, and pristine establishment. The hotel inclusively catered to our breakfast, lunch, and dinner needs. However, its sole drawback lies in its slight remoteness from the scenic spots of the old town, necessitating a taxi ride for those without private vehicles.

🔸Itinerary:

  • Day 1: Wuhan – Dinner at Dafeng Huiguan Restaurant – Visit to Anqing Museum (P2, 3) – Exploration of Daobashi Street, Guohuo Street, and Sipailou Street (P4, 5)
  • Day 2: Hotel – Excursion to Baizhangya Scenic Area in Chizhou (P6) – Return to Anqing – Dinner at Guaiweilou Restaurant (P9)
  • Day 3: Hotel – Breakfast at Dananmen Baozi Shop (P8) – Visit to Mosque – Exploration of Anqing Antique Market – Visit to Yingjiang Temple and Zhenfeng Pagoda (P7) – Ferry Crossing – Lunch at Jiangmao Dumpling Shop (P10) – Return to Wuhan

🔸Notes:

  • The Anqing Museum and the Chinese Huangmei Opera Museum are located adjacently, comprising three floors. Commemorative coins are available for purchase, and stamping facilities are also provided.
  • Daobashi Street and other neighboring streets can be explored consecutively. Be sure to try the nearby air-fried rice cakes, a delicious local delicacy (P11)! Additionally, traditional Chinese-themed bazaars are frequently held. Stay updated by following relevant public accounts for event notifications.
  • For souvenir shopping, Mailongxiang and Baizhaoji are recommended. These seemingly established brands in Anqing offer a range of specialties, including Mozisu, Lvdouhuang, Fangpiangao, and Gonggao.
  • When planning your trip, do check the weather forecast. Surrounding Anqing are scenic mountains such as Tianzhu Mountain, Baizhangya, Mingtang Mountain, and Jushi Mountain. Remember to wear appropriate footwear for hiking. Additionally, it is advisable to call the scenic spots beforehand as some may require a waiting period after purchasing tickets before entry.
  • The Zhenfeng Pagoda is situated within the Yingjiang Temple. Separate tickets are required for both attractions, priced at ten yuan each.

💞We hope you enjoy your journey and have a delightful experience! 💞
