Transportation to Guniujiang Scenic Area in Shitai, Chizhou, Anhui:
- Take the high-speed train to Chizhou and then transfer to a bus to Shitai County, which takes approximately 1.5 hours.
- Self-drive is recommended (we chose self-drive from Hefei, approximately 2 hours’ drive, toll fee around 150 yuan). Please check for specific numbers.
Ticket Information: Half-price tickets for university students are 45 yuan.
Recommendations: The Four-Tier Falls, Longmen Pond, Zhumating, Yuanyang Pond, and Yanjia Ancient Village are must-sees.
Important Notes: The entire scenic area forms a connected circle with two routes. Be sure not to take the wrong path!
- Hiking Route: Starting from Longmen Pond, there are many scenic spots for photography along the way. However, hiking can be quite exhausting, but the views are truly breathtaking. Upon reaching the summit, you can overlook the scenery (as shown in the picture) and then descend to complete the circular route.
- For Those Who Prefer Not to Hike: Head directly to Biyu Pond for beautiful photos, and then capture the Four-Tier Falls from the right side. This route takes approximately one to two hours and is suitable for those who want to enjoy the scenery without much exertion.
Lastly, there are many areas for playing in the water, so I chose to wear sandals, which were comfortable and acceptable (perhaps due to my youthful energy! I even encountered a colorful cloud formation).
