The two-day tour of Pingtan Island was indeed a memorable journey. On April 2nd to 3rd, I traversed the island on a small electric scooter, exploring the northern route and Houyan Island, a special destination marking the closest point to Taiwan.
On the evening of April 2nd, the entire island was abuzz with tourists searching for the elusive blue tears. The crowds were so dense that it was difficult to move, but the moment when the blue tears were sighted made everything worthwhile.
Despite an early morning earthquake on April 3rd, I indulged in a leisurely sleep before checking into the Wyndham Hotel. My journey continued along the northern route, passing through Houyan Island, Beigang Village (with numerous picturesque spots for photography), the Most Beautiful Coastal Road, Jingsha, Changjiang’ao, and more. It’s important to remember to apply sunscreen, as the sun can be intense and leave your skin flushed.
